About
This activity will provide information for accredited prescribers to safely prescribe and administer buprenorphine depot preparations for Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD).
This course is required to be completed before applying to the Drugs of Dependence Unit (DDU) for an authority to prescribe buprenorphine depot preparations for MATOD.
The course has been developed by professionals who are currently in the drug and alcohol field. It provides support services for post-training needs, including the provision of ongoing professional development.
Note: This module has been incorporated into the 'Theory MATOD Prescriber Training Course - South Australia' from 1 April 2020.
